Best Guitar Amps Guitar amps are very complicated these days. Everything is so much more advanced then it was many years ago. In the days when hair metal ruled the land, marshall jcm 800's were the only way to go. Oh, and they had to be turned up to 11 to sound good. You basically had to blow up your amp to be able to sound good in the 80s. Now things are much simpler and Marshalls aren't the only way to go when you want to buy a good guitar amp. Some of the best amps for beginners and intermediate players are affordable and you don't have to blow them up to sound good. One of the recommendations I have for you isn't a Marshall. It is actually an amp that I discovered from Best Beginner Electric Guitars list of the best guitar amps for beginners. It is a Yamaha THR10. It is a great little practice amp that even pros use sometimes. When you need something that is small and comfortable to carry around, this is the best guitar amp. It is not only comfortable to carry on but it is great to play. It sounds excellent, why else would a pro use it?! It sounds like a real tube amp, like a Marshall as much as I hate to say it. I guess everything is compared to a marshall these days because they are so great. They are made with quality and the consumer in mind. They really want people to sound great playing their guitars. The Yamaha THR10 was the recommended amp for today. Go out there and check it out if you want to see it.
